HP Unveils WebOS-Based TouchPad Tablet To Taken On Apple’s iPad

HP TouchPad

HP has just unveiled web-OS based HP TouchPad to take on Apple’s iPad. HP claims it is “Super Natural†as it “works the way you do, so you get more doneâ€.

TouchPad Wi-Fi models will be available this summer while the TouchPad 3G and 4G models will follow shortly.

TouchPad also gets innovative features such as wireless charging, which was first seen in Palm Pre, the ability to share data between webOS devices, to make video calls with a front-facing camera and the multitasking feature with its unique “card†interface.

HP has not disclosed the price yet.

So will it be an iPad killer? Based on the tech specs, it looks very impressive. If they price it right, they might give Apple’s iPad a run for its money but they should have launched it now rather than in summer as it will have to compete with the second generation iPad.
