  If you need help updating or creating an extension for Firefox 0.9+, you can use this helpful CGI.

• Google Maps Live

  Track live data on Google Maps. Install

• Nuke image

  Remove an image from layout via the context menu. (Superseded by Nuke Anything, but still useful.) Install-

• Google Maps to Keyhole

  Load the current Google Maps location in Keyhole. Install

• Alternate Stylesheet Switcher

  Restores the "Use Style" menu from Mozilla in Firefox (seriously outdated) Not updated for Firefox 0.9

• Mouse Rocker Navigation

  Taken somewhat from the Optimoz gestures project - Hold left click and then click right to go forward, hold right and click left to go back [fixed thanks to Marc Boullet] (there are other extensions that do this better now) Not updated for Firefox 0.9

I finally got Mozilla to compile using mingw (bug 134113) - here are some pointers. You might also find Henrik Gemal's instructions on how to build Thunderbird on Windows helpful.
