You tube has video titled "autism spectrum seems out of control" and "autism epidemic out of control" that may be of interest here. Looks like the next DSM has a lot to think about, as in what autism is. And is not. Recall the amanda baggs controversy? Google it.

This is all very exciting...
But chlorophyll is produced IN THE CHLOROPLASTS...and as far as I know, the genes encoding chlorophyll biosynthetic enzymes are located in the chloroplast genome.. I read that some of the protein complexes have nuclear-encoded subunits, but they could be in the sea slug's genome, seeing as they have the heme synthetic pathway which shares many similar steps to chlorophyll synthesis. Could it be that all that is happening is that the slugs are making use of the chloroplasts as organelles, and not actually incorporating any algal DNA into their genome?

PCWorld: "Joining a “social” networking site and then complaining that your information is being shared is like buying an ice cream sundae and complaining that it’s cold."

I beg to differ.

We join social networking sites to share information with the people *we decide* to network with. I can't speak for everyone, but I know I speak for a lot of people when I say that having everything we do published to the web for search engines to index and made available for companies to buy and sell and profit from is NOT what I'm in Facebook or any other social network for.

I may choose to share some things with a lot of people or broadcast an opinion to the world (as much of the world as will visit my little corner of the web, anyway), but last I checked, that didn't give anyone an unlimited right to do anything they want with everything I put anywhere online.

I guess it's a good thing that Zuckerberg and Facebook are being relatively transparent with their privacy policies--it's certainly better than what the credit-rating agencies did to all of us long ago, and are still doing--but methinks the man doth protest too much.

Why have Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, Luxembourg and Greece explicitly banned the GM corn (Mon 810) named in the study?

Obviously, six European countries are not comfortable with allowing this corn to be grown within their boundaries. Are the research, science, and policy of each entirely without merit or consideration?

Why did the Austrian Ministry of Health find the same GM corn (Mon 810) to cause infertility in mice?
http://www.foodnavigator.com/Science-Nutrition/Austrian-ministry-links-GM-corn-to-infertility

Why did the Italian National Institute for Food and Nutrition find that the same GM corn (Mon 810) disturbed the immune system of mice?
http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf802059w

When a Hungarian researcher released his findings that the same GM corn killed two endangered species in the area and one rare insect, why did Monsanto refuse to supply him with more corn to test?
