Happy iPad 2 Day – ReadWriteWeb’s Coverage Starts Now
It’s iPad 2 Day and we’re excited about what that will mean for Reading and Writing on the Web (as per our blog’s name, of course). Join site co-Editor Marshall Kirkpatrick and news writer Audrey Watters for some pre-game live video discussion starting now, embedded below, leading up to the big 10 AM lifting of the curtain. (Update: That was fun, now we’re waiting for news to offer our analysis of.) We’re also curating some of the most interesting Tweets about the event below. How about taking our poll – Will You Buy the iPad 2?
Let us know your hopes, your dreams, your tales of wow or burnout with the first iPad. It’s one of if not the fastest-selling consumer technologies of all time – so there should be plenty to talk about. Our preview of what to look for is here.
We’re using TinyChat below for our first experiment with live team video. We’ll see how well it works for us.
We just completed our pre-game chat and it was a lot of fun! A few thousand viewers joined us from around the world for the first experimental video. We’ll do that again soon. Now…time to talk iPad!
There’s no official live video this time, nor any pirated streams. What a shame. We’re going to abstain from trying to “liveblog” 4th hand and focus on writing it up really well right afterwords. Please join us for updates as news becomes available.
IPad 2 is confirmed. Totally new design, the company says. It’s faster…9X faster graphics, 2X faster CPU.
Shipping in weeks. From Verizon and AT&T from day 1. Comes in white as well.
