Sony Ericsson partner Martin Essel just announced that Sony will integrate Facebook’s Single Sign On system across all its phones in the next couple of months. Single sign-on is like Facebook Connect for mobile apps and allows you to log into all apps just by logging into one. Essel did not go into the specifics of the integration.

Connecting mobile and social is a huge thing theme here at Inside Social Apps, and panel moderator Mattheus Krykowski said “the most important thing Facebook did is single-sign-on” because it offers easy accessibility of the social graph on mobile.

Sony Ericsson partner Martin Essel explained the motivation behind this onstage, “In localizing user experience we see that Facebook is the primary social network in all of our markets.” Krykowski implied that Sony is the first device maker to take this step and that it is “huge.”
