Chronic Dev Team are planning to release an updated version of greenpois0n to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on iOS 4.2.1.

The jailbreak will be untethered and doesn’t need iOS 4.2 beta 3 SHSH blobs to be saved like iPhone Dev Team’s Redsn0w 0.9.5, which is currently available for beta testing.

Chronic Dev Team are popular for releasing Greenpois0n to jailbreak iPhone and iPod Touch on iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad.

Chronic Dev Team have also published a video of an untethered jailbroken iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.1 in action:

They haven’t provided an ETA on when the updated version of greenpois0n for iOS 4.2.1 will be available to customers but they’ve mentioned that it is coming soon.

As always, we’ll let you know as soon as it is available so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks or follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our RSS feed.
