HP Holding webOS Special Event February 9 In San Francisco

We’ve just been invited to an HP event on February 9 in San Francisco. The topic? webOS, according to the invitation.

The invite’s main header reads: “Think big. Think small. Think beyond.” Could this mean an expansion of webOS to many types of devices? At the very least, we should get the full skinny on the webOS 2.0 release, which is still only available for testing purposes.

Curiously, February 9 also happen to be the final day of CES. So many people in the tech world will still presumably be in Las Vegas and not in San Francisco on that morning. But fear not, we will be there.

As a side note, the timing is especially interesting since webOS originally launched at CES ’09. But that was under Palm, guess HP has other plans.
