Apple has just released iOS 4.0.1 (8A306) for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G.

iOS 4.0.1 includes the signal bar changes to fix incorrect display of signal strength

According to Apple, it will provide users a much better indication of the reception that they are getting in a given area.
