iPhone Os 4.0 bluetooth keyboard

Apple's next generation iPhone OS – iPhone OS 4.0 includes several features such as multitasking and folder management that are very popular among jailbroken iPhone users.

Apple has also included support for Bluetooth keyboard in iPhone OS 4 for iPhone and iPod Touch that was possible using jailbreak iPhone apps like BTStack Keyboard.

Folks at 9to5Mac have released a nice video walkthrough that showcases the Bluetooth keyboard support in iPhone OS 4.0.

As you can see from the video embedded below, the functionality not only enables remote text input, but also enables the use of function keys to operate the various iPhone controls.

For instance, controls for adjusting the screen brightness, playing music, playlist navigation or volume control may be manipulated with the help of function keys on the Bluetooth keyboard. Additionally, text formatting is also enhanced by the use of keyboard hotkeys like Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C for selecting and copying text.

As the video shows, some function keys do not seem to have been assigned with any function at the moment. 9to5Mac further notes that the new functionality supports all bluetooth keyboards and not just Apple's. Check out the video below to get an idea of what to expect:
