First Direct Measurement of Exoplanet Light Spectrum

The light spectrum from a glowing Jupiter-like planet, which contains clues about the composition of the planet’s atmosphere, has been directly measured for the first time in what could be a dress rehearsal for future attempts at understanding Earth-like exoplanets.
