France Uses Tired Media Playbook to Push ‘Google Tax’

French President Nicolas Sarkozy takes a page from the “Woe is Me(dia)” playbook in a campaign to tax Google and other foreign net companies who make money off ads on web pages seen by French people, even though the notion of ‘doing business’ and even ‘country’ are increasingly hard to define in an global internet economy.
